Laundry Plumbing FAQs
Can I move my laundry to a different room?
In many homes it is possible, provided water, drainage and ventilation can be arranged.
A plumber can assess your plan and explain what is required for a compliant installation.
Do I need a plumber to connect a washing machine?
Some simple connections can be done by owners, but a plumber is recommended when new taps,
outlets or drainage alterations are needed, or when leaks could cause serious damage.
What details should I include when posting a laundry plumbing job?
Include room measurements, existing plumbing locations, the appliances and fixtures you want
and whether you already have cabinets or a joiner booked.
Can plumbers help with tight townhouse or apartment laundries?
Yes. Many plumbers regularly work in compact laundries and can suggest space saving layouts
and fixture choices that still meet plumbing rules.
